Our Community

The beautiful community of Boca Pointe is located just outside the city limits of Boca Raton, in southern most Palm Beach County, Florida.

Markborough Properties, a division of the Hudson Bay Company of Canada, recognized the natural beauty and attraction of the Boca Raton area and master planned a country club community where residents could enjoy South Florida living at its best. Tracts of land were sold to numerous residential developers which facilitated the development of the varied residential lifestyles from which to choose in our community.

Boca Pointe encompasses just over 1,000 acres, consisting of 28 residential Villages, the Club at Boca Pointe, a commercial area known as Wharfside Shopping Village, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and B'nai Torah Synagogue. Acres of pristine lakes, peaceful parks, lots of open green spaces and miles walking paths contribute to the ambiance of our community. We are extraordinarily fortunate to have a county fire rescue station located within our community providing rapid response to medical emergencies.

Nine manned gated entrances serve the 3,432 homes within the various Villages of Boca Pointe. Every type of residential style is available, including luxury high-rise and mid-rise condominiums, town and coach homes, patio homes, garden villas and single family detached homes. Please view our interactive community map under the Our Villages link for a description and photo of each Village.

Each Village within Boca Pointe is governed by its own documents and managed by its own Village Association Board of Directors. Two of our Villages, Edgewater Pointe Estates and Stratford Court, are assisted life care facilities; when included, our count of residential units totals 4,039.

Boca Pointe Community Association, Inc. (BPCA) is the "master" or "umbrella" association that governs and maintains the business, affairs and property that contribute to the overall ambience and property values of Boca Pointe. We maintain the main roads, oversee the manned gate operations and roving patrols, and maintain the landscaping around our beautiful gated entrances as well as the landscaped medians and manicured rights of way of Powerline Road and S.W. 18th Street.

BPCA is governed by a fifteen (15) member Board of Directors, who are residents elected by the Voting Members (who are the presidents of the different Villages in Boca Pointe). This representative form of governance insures that the interests of all residents and all areas of our community have an equal voice. The Board of Directors is given its power through the community documents, which include the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions; the Articles of Incorporation and the By-Laws. These documents give the Board the power to adopt, amend and repeal policies and procedures as it deems necessary. The Board employs a professional community association manager who oversees the staff and acts as its chief operating officer.

Since the Board cannot address every issue of interest to the residents of Boca Pointe, it has established committees to assist in the management of various responsibilities or carry out specific tasks as assigned. This gives an opportunity for interested residents to get involved.

Originally incorporated September 1980, BPCA is a not-for-profit association with a current annual budget of just over five million dollars. Our income is collected through assessments charged our residents. Every year a budget is established for the next year to cover the projected expenses involved in maintaining the commonly owned landscaped areas, operating the gate houses and roving patrols, administrative functions, salaries and reserves for replacement of association owned infrastructure, such as the roads. The assessment amount charged per residence varies depending on which restricted area of Boca Pointe the residence is located, as expenses are allocated based on what services are provided. In addition, each residence is a member of and is responsible to pay assessments to its Village Association for those areas maintained within their neighborhood.

The Club at Boca Pointe is a separate entity from the Community Association with its own Board of Governors, management and employees. Although separate organizations, the management and staff of both work closely in order to maintain the landscaped beauty and lifestyle for which Boca Pointe has become renowned. From the minute you drive into the community, the synergistic relationship is evident, making this an extremely attractive community in which to live and play.

Although every homeowner of Boca Pointe is a member of the Boca Pointe Community Association, membership to the friendly resort-style Club at Boca Pointe is not mandatory. We invite you to visit the Club at Boca Pointe website to learn about the many membership options from which to choose. Unlike other clubs, the Club at Boca Pointe allows you the freedom to choose the membership that best fits your lifestyle. With your choice of membership and choice of residential style, you will truly be able to live every day like it’s your dream vacation.

A description of each of the Villages can be found under the Our Villages link. The current month issue of Viewpointe, Our Newsletter, is available for your viewing and includes advertisements from the professional Realtors living and working in our community.

We hope to welcome you as a resident and new member of the Club in the very near future.
